I noticed that some strings appear as garbage characters when I clean the file. How can I fix this? Is this the right place to ask this question?I'm using Trados 2007 for doing English to Arabic translation.?

I have passed on this problem many times during my long career as English to Arabic translator. The reason for this problem is the source and target font mapping. To get rid of this garbage, just re-open the source document (MS Word for instance), scroll down the styles used in the document, replace strange fonts with standard one. Save and auto-translate via Workbench. Good luck.
